About us
The CKC is a fundraising event which started in 2014; initiated by Mark Dixon and Thomas Flanagan, in cooperation with AMC. Since then, a group of cyclists participate in the annual tour, cycling around Kosovo, passing through major cities around 500km of cycling and over 6000m of climbing.
Cycle Kosovo for Children has become a yearly tradition, now gathering many cycling enthusiasts from around the world.
With an enormous amount of desire to advocate for green policies and fundraise for a very important cause, CKC was founded by a few friends back in 2014.
The main goal is to fundraise in support of Action for Mothers and Children - a non-profit health foundation working in progressing mother’s and children’s
health in Kosovo.
Every year, group of cyclists embark on a journey around Kosovo, starting from the capital of Kosova - Prishtina, cycling for around 500 kilometres and
climbing more than 6000 meters.
CKC began their fundraising journey in 2014, having an incredibly successful first event.
The tour is being continued each year, with the same goal, namely raising funds for childrens healthcare in Kosovo.
Each year, the event was able to raise its funds through corporate sponsorship, individual donations,
and an end-of-tour event organized in Prishtina. The funds were mainly used for the purchase of necessary medical equipment for hospitals around Kosovo.
